We partnered with Oscar-winning director Vanessa Roth to animate some of the most intimate moments of her documentary about 9x Grammy-winning singer Mary J. Blige. Painterly textures and hand-drawn lines helped us create an ethereal, intimate, and powerful portrait of transformations throughout her life. All animation was rotoscoped, with thousands of frames being made to tell Mary’s story.
